Hill Stations of Himachal Pradesh
Blessed with a varied topography of snow-capped peaks, stunning locales, lush green meadows, deep valleys, pristine rivers and thick forests, the gorgeous state of Himachal Pradesh is a beautiful destination with no dearth of hill stations which will leave you mesmerized. A favourite summer retreat of British who not only chose it as an escape from the scorching heat but also felt enough connected to build their churches, houses, and golf courses as well, Himachal, even today, is a destination where a nature lover finds his soul.
The British chose some and ignored some hill destinations in Himachal Pradesh. At places like Shimla, Kasauli, and Dharamshala, one can see the prominent evidences of them spending more time, whereas in the upper regions of Lahaul & Spiti and Kinnaur, you can't find any traces of their existence but that of the Tibetans who associated the regions with their own home. It is evident, Himachal is home to many popular hill stations and several lesser-known places.
